The Samsung Galaxy Buds 4 and the Galaxy Buds 4 Pro are rumored to be launching soon and a fresh leak showing off the design and functionality of the wireless earbuds suggests we don't have much longer to wait before they appear.

Well-known tipster @AssembleDebug has posted screenshots of the Samsung Tips app that feature the Galaxy Buds 4. It's not immediately clear where these screenshots are taken from, but they are most likely currently hidden away in the app (perhaps in the latest beta for Samsung One UI 8.5).

What's most noticeable about these screenshots are the redesign that the Galaxy Buds 4 are getting, which has also shown up in earlier leaks . All the signs are that these earbuds will get a flatter, more compact design this
time around.

Considering the Samsung Galaxy Buds 3 and Galaxy Buds 3 Pro launched in July 2024, you could reasonably argue that a refresh is now overdue. We may see

We've already mentioned the redesign of the Galaxy Buds 4 and Galaxy Buds 4 Pro, and that's most probably going to be the biggest change this year: the angular look of the stems introduced in the current models is going away again.

We're apparently going to get a new look for the charging case too , as
images that have already leaked show that it'll open up completely to reveal the wireless earbuds (rather than just the top of the case acting as a lid). The earbuds then slot into the case, with the stems facing outwards.

Away from the redesign, this latest leak shows that head gestures are going
to be supported so you'll be able to nod or shake your head to accept or decline calls, for example. Yes, just like the feature available now on the Apple AirPods .

A third upgrade that's been mentioned is support for Ultra-Wide Band (UWB) connectivity, enabling the earbuds to use true hi-res audio and better location tracking. However, none of this is certain until Samsung makes the devices official.
