    Description:
ChatGPT now has an app store, so you can call up apps like Apple Music and Canva right from the prompt box.

FULL STORY ======================================================================ChatGPT now has an official app store for users OpenAI is inviting more submissions from developers Major apps like Apple Music are already available

Over time we've seen services and apps like Kayak and Photoshop get tightly integrated into the ChatGPT interface , and now all of those plug-ins are being gathered up together in a new app store interface with OpenAI also opening the doors wide for developers to contribute even more apps.

You can find the new Apps directory in ChatGPT's main navigation pane on the web and on mobile, alongside the existing links to all your projects and previous chats. Or you can just go directly to the ChatGPT Apps directory . There are a couple of categories to browse through, and a search tool if you need something specific.

This is all going to be very familiar to anyone who's used an app store before: click or tap on any listing to see more details (including a privacy policy outlining how it handles your data), and to add the app to ChatGPT. Once that's done, you'll be able to call on the services of the app by mentioning or selecting it in your prompts.

In its call to developers for new apps, OpenAI says it's looking for apps
that "extend ChatGPT conversations by bringing in new context and letting users take actions". As you might expect, there are guidelines that
developers have to follow, and apps will need OpenAI approval before they
show up for ChatGPT users. 5 apps to try in ChatGPT Apple Music in ChatGPT (Image credit: OpenAI)

The best way to understand how these apps can extend the capabilities of ChatGPT is to give them a try: we've previously given the Photoshop app a big thumbs up , so that's a good app to start with, if you haven't already used
it yet. Sticking with design and graphics, the Canva app also gives you
access to a host of visual tools inside ChatGPT.

Apple Music is also well worth a look if you're a subscriber to the music streaming service: you can get ChatGPT to create playlists for you, and have the AI find songs based around specific themes and genres (much like the Spotify app ). ChatGPT can already recommend tunes and mixes, but here you
can add them right to your Apple Music library.

Gmail isn't the most exciting of plug-ins, but it can make a huge difference to your productivity if you've got ChatGPT sifting through your inbox you might actually hit inbox zero via some AI-powered summaries, highlights, and drafted replies.

One more recommendation, for the road (or hiking path): AllTrails is one of the best hiking apps in the business, and with this ChatGPT integration, you can ask questions and get advice based on data covering hundreds of thousands of trails.
