I started on a TRS-80 III a very dated at the time system but what I could afford in 5th grade. I soon had a TANDY 1000 HX on layaway, the floor mmodel because it was on sale and being phased out. I built my next from new used and 2nd hand components, a 386sx-33mhz , ATI wonder and soundblaster... First version of linux on my first dual boot system. it was around ms-dos 5.0 then.

or Computer 2 -- but the first 'home computer'
I did anything with was when Mr. Bill Myers brought a Model III D (dual floppies) to school and showed me BASIC. He also had a TON of Scott
Adams text adventures. :-)

My first computer was a Model III. I ended up with two and took them to the dump to clean out storage. I hate I did it now.
I loved that computer.
