• Golded and crashmail

From Tanausu M.@86:534/20 to All on Thu Dec 18 21:30:19 2025
Hi. I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this. Does anyone have a tutorial or short guide for Golded and Crashmail? With a single network, it works quite well. But when I tried to configure multiple networks, it doesn't send the messages. Crashmail scan generates them, but they get stuck in the packets folder and never get sent. I was trying to use points to avoid confusion.

I'm answering myself as a test. Golded was creating folders, but Binkd and Crashmail weren't reading them.

Creating shortcuts and we'll see if it works.

Maybe you could wait a little and use more updated version of crashmail II. I have created a bug report to request a newer version of the software.
https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=290682 I wanted to try it also because right now I'm using hpt (fidoconfig) and I have issues while sending menssage for different networks since it doesn't fully support 5D addressing.

Hi. I've downloaded the latest versions of Golded, Binkd, and Crashmail. I didn't compile them from ports. At least that part is sorted. For Crashmail, I was given a link that fixes a corruption bug.https://github.com/original/crashmailWe've already transferred almost 400,000 messages from CNET3 to Synchro using it, and without any problems.
