Re: Network usage and keeping the network around

Since this message network gets so little usage, I've contemplated the idea of taking it down and no longer hosting it. As some people have stated, there are a lot of dead (or near dead) networks, and I'm not sure if this message network has been very useful with such low activity. For sysops who carry this network, what would you think about this network going away?
I would hate to see it go away. I have WeedNet and LinuxNet and hope the traffic will increase, but seems quite quiet.
Then there are other nets like Retro, Pi, and Cnet that all I see are BBS advertismets :-(
I wish we could generate traffic on all of them. There is plenty of traffic on the social networks, that is worthless. Would be nice, if some of those people would realize they can come back to the BBS -- and chat/email without all the Ads, and other crap that the social networks bring with it.
I appreciate you asking. I can live with or without it. Appreciate the inquiry and heads up. I hope a few more people may use it before it is retired.
Appreciate you creating it and supporting it.
