Give Wine a shot. It doesn't require a duel boot or having to install Windows.
I have wine and bottles installed. It is the Microsoft dotnet dependency that is causing a
problem. I would love to have someone more experienced than I try to install it and give
me feedback.
You can often install dependencies such as dotnet using a tool called Winetricks. It is very handy for times like this.
You can also look up the Wine compatibility database to check if a program runs at all, or runs badly, or runs perfect, and see if any adjustement to the default configuration needs to be made.
That said, usually it is just better to pick a native tool instead of keeping trying to use old Windows tools. It is not like HTML editors are scarce these days.
