From Shurato@21:2/148 to Shurato on Tue Dec 16 17:50:00 2025

    1. I've listed all of the 2 player games I own that I haven't played that I'd liketo try with someone if they're willing.

    2. I've played a couple of Adult VNs to completion without difficulty and enjoyed them (Arcane Lust and SEXXX Girls). I've played a non-adult VN and was totally bored (I can't remember what it was called, it was
Anime based.). I have Stein's Gate, but haven't played it yet. Are
there any good Visual Novels that could be recommended? Something
that would make me think about reality, but not have to solve
    puzzles.

    3. I'd like something that just tells a story. No difficult combat, though some combat is ok. No puzzles. I can't even handle easy
puzzles with my cognitive disabilities. RPGs are good for this, and
I've got several, but haven't played any other than Chained Echoes,
which I only played for about 50 minutes and haven't gone back to.

Any recommendations that sound like I'd enjoy them would be welcome. I keep getting recommended stuff with puzzles or difficult combat.
Easy mode isn't good enough for me; I find it to be more normal.
If it has a second easier setting (or novice, which some ubisoft
games have), I could do that. I have no desire to increase my skill level, I don't find that fun.

Recommendations welcome. Please get away from the adult game topic... VNs
are OK though and adult VNs are ok, but this totally got off topic...

I'd imagine if anyone else played games of this genre, they would have spoke up by now, or even messaged you in private if one had felt the need to do so.z

Memories of playing Leisure Suit Larry as teenagers, whilst arguing if what was seen was an elbow or a boob, may very well be the closest thing to "on-topic" you're going to get on this one, champ. ;)

If I remember right, this is not the first time you've brought up this topic, and at least one other time that I can remember, there was the sounds of crickets then, too.

    Regards,
    Nick

I was asking for any game (and just happened to mention that genre, but not exclusively) that would be strictly story based and very easy.

I've brought up easy games before, adult VNs is just something that was
added, not what I wanted to talk about. My reflexes, tremors and other
issues make hard games (and games that say they have easy modes but don't)
out of the question for me. My ADHD makes me unlikely to take kindly to puzzles and strategy. Lego's games have been suggested to me, but the one Avenger's game I've played with multiple friends at different times we were unable to get past the first screen. I've got a ton of Lego's games, but generally find them too hard as well. Maybe I just haven't played the right one? I've got the "When World's Collide" Bundle.

You mention (and blame) these issues of yours, but is there really that much of a difference between playing an "easy mode" on a game, compared to things like finding/reporting bugs and seeing out them getting fixed, setting up and making work tens, if not hundreds of door games, and figuring out how to run a BBS software from the 90s on modern hardware and operating systems like I've already seen you do? I tend to find the things I've seen you do much harder and attention requiring than most of the games you've mentioned or parts of the games you were trying to get through.

I'm wondering if it's something else, like lack of patience or willingness to figure out whatever game you almost seem to decide you don't like as soon as you start playing it - whereas you /do/ have the patience to get old decrepid software that nobody is around to fix and nobody else still uses, running on 64bit Windows with some hackery to NTVDM, even.

Don't take this as an insult at all. In fact, I'm praising the things I've witnessed your part in, especially in comparison to something like "finding or getting through a door to the next level" kind of talk. Makes me wonder if you actually /want/ to get to the next level, or if you had already given up on the game before you got to the point where you stop playing.

    Nick
