    • Do you allow read only access to echos via web interface?
    • I'm not sure if anyone else has seen a lot of web traffic
    • all hitting the same echos/networks from many ip addresses?
    • I also have a lot of login attempts using the same un/pw
    • combo from ips worldwide but that's another issue.
    • 1) I allow open read only and always will
    • 2) I allow open read only but may change based on this info
    • 3) I will definitely close read only access now
    • 4) No. I don't allow read only access anyway

    you can use fail2ban to prevent bots

    Not on my system. It's already under memory strain without f2b bloat.
