    problem is its not easy. It needs to be dumbed down so a sixth grader can use it.

    Well, Jethro, you might want to come out of that shack in the hills and take a look around. The Linux landscape has changed quite a bit. In fact, there's a distro just for sixth-graders liike you. It's called Zorin OS. It's a distro that closely mimics Windows 10/11, without all the MS gunk.

    i thought linux distros have been trying to be windows for the past 20 years.

    people want that MS gunk.
