sysops who carry this network, what would you think about this network
    going away?

I like it; it has a theme and a good set of message boards. However I acknowledge that neither I nor users of my bbs actually post here. I enjoy reading what others write.

I don't mind carrying it but I don't mind if it goes away either for
    the reasons you cite.
Most people go to internet forums and search engines for quicker
    answers.

    I'm late... Sorry

A network death is always a bad thing! There are many reasons and causes. Unfortunately, I don't program myself because my other projects eat up a lot of my time.
But of course I'm always interested in everything that has to do with the BBS scene.
That's why I would be very sorry if you stopped the/your "service" for both (developernet/musicalnet). And sometimes you need a long breath for things that make
    sense!

I also need this for my BBS forum, although there it offers advantages in terms of the
speed, of information exchange, as users receive new information immediately via email!

But here too, a supposedly good idea must always be accepted and used by the other side!

Long story short. I would continue to maintain the networks Nightfox! It's a good thing!

And for all readers.... If you're ever bored, take a look at the forum. It doesn't cost
anything except a few minutes of your time! www.sysops-finest.org

    That's good news Nightfox! Really!

Maybe you take a look on my BBS Forum... if you like?

Developernet and Musicalnet are still included in the FTN Area.

I would be happy to receive feedback on this... and of course suggestions/improvements too!

That looks pretty cool. I notice it's PHP, and I've seen PHP forum software such as phpBB and vBulletin - are you using a custom one?

I used to have vBulletin set up and connected to my BBS via a NNTP plug-in, but I've stopped using that (one reason is that there were bots that would sometimes sign up and post spam).

    Thank you Nightfox

This is Xenforo ... I like it so far. A lot of tools available, incl. Bot detection. But without a NNTP plug-in. Was never released.. sadly....

Maybe you will register and present your BBS in this, too? I promised it won't hurt..
Really! It's like with the networks or BBS. The more people participate, the more the forum
can grow with the contents. The goal is in the welcome text..
